6 Days and Counting....

Only 6 more days until Lindsey starts Kindergarten. It is definately a reality check for Mom and Dad on how fast time goes by and how much she has grown up. All the kids in her preschool class found out over the weekend who their teacher for Kindergarten will be. So on Monday, they were talking about who got which teacher. Lindsey came home on Monday and said "Owen and Gavin are going to be in my class and I'll make some new friends too." How sweet was that! I almost cried! We have a feeling her Preschool teacher has been coaching them, but however the idea got in her head, we were glad to hear her say it. We have her open house tonight and we'll meet her new teacher, Mrs. Klukow. Check back next week for pictures from her first day!

Maple Grove Pool

Earlier this month we went to the Maple Grove Pool. They have an outdoor and indoor pool and the girls love it there. They have slides and a lazy river. Above is Lindsey relaxing in the sun. Below are the girls waiting to go back in the water during a safety break.
Apparently Sydney was tired out from swimming or was just being a stinker and not letting me take her picture.

After swimming the girls begged to go in the maze for awhile which is also at the Maple Grove Community Center. So we gave in although I am not sure how they had the energy after swimming for 3 hours. It was a perfect day to do the maze though as they were about the only ones in there.

Smiley the Clown

Here are Lindsey and Sydney with Smiley the Clown. Smiley made them each a balloon butterfly at the Champlin Kiddie Carnival earlier this month.

She shoots, she scores!!

Last night was Lindsey's last soccer game for the season. It was the best game ever as she scored her first goal. Lindsey threw the ball in from the sidelines, the other team stole it away and our defense kicked it to about mid field where Lindsey came out of the pack and kept going with it, it stopped about 5 yards in front of the goalie and Lindsey gave it one more kick to score her first goal ever!!! It was a proud parent moment and she was SO excited. I didn't have my camera ready to photograph the moment, but luckily David had the video camera running so we do have it on tape. We watched it a few times last night when we got home. It is priceless.
Since it was the last game, the coach brought blue hair paint and sprayed "lightening bolts" on the side of all the players heads. It must have helped pump them up, because we won the game. The win kept the Panthers winning streak going and ended the season with a 6-5 record. It was so fun to watch the players improve from game to game. Below is Lindsey and her friend Jordan showing off their blue hair paint.

At the end of the game, the team had ice cream and received trophies to celebrate the end of the season.
